We are so fortunate to have Steve Schmidt living in Los Altos Hills and serving for many years as a volunteer on the undergrounding Utilities and the Environmental Initiatives Committees. The Committee reviews environmental initiatives to be proposed to the City Council, subject to the appropriate hearings, that would affect other aspects of Town policy including residential development and Town infrastructure. We are indeed pleased to have him come to our March 2020 luncheon and to share with us the most current information on how to utilize the latest equipment available for our homes. |
Steve Schmidt is Founder and COO of Home Energy Analytics, the first company hired by PG&E to provide a new type of “pay for performance” residential energy efficiency program.
Forced from a blissful state of climate change denial in 2005, Steve spent years wading through a swamp of climate despair but is now cautiously optimistic. He spends most of his time striving to reduce his personal carbon footprint and helping others find simple ways to do the same. Steve has engineering and business degrees from Stanford.
